Weekend at Ruby's :)

This past weekend, Matt, Marlee, Gretta, and I, joined Bubby, Buzzy, and Ruby (my dad, stepmom, and grandmother) at Ruby's house in Myrtle Beach. Meredith and Jennifer were also there with their families. We have been going to Myrtle Beach to visit Ruby and Tugboat (Tugboat died 12/2/2003) since we were born. Ruby lives in the heart of Myrtle Beach...2 blocks from the beach, and less than a mile from what used to be the Pavilion. We used to love going for the weekend and riding the log flume at the Pavilion and getting Krispy Kreme Donuts late on Saturday nights. We ALWAYS got Krispy Kreme donuts...it is a Muirhead family tradition!!:) On Friday night, my dad was honored during halftime at the Myrtle Beach Seahawks football game. He played quarterback for the Seahawks 40 years ago, and this was the anniversary of his senior season. He was also mvp of the north/south football game that same year. They were celebrating a new field and scoreboard, so we got to go with our dad to enjoy all of that. They were playing footage from his senior year on the scoreboard...it was really neat because it kept flashing "Steve Muirhead...touchdown", "Steve Muirhead #12...touchdown pass", etc., etc. My mom was also captain of the cheerleading squad 40 years ago, but she wasn't able to attend the game Friday night. On Saturday night we all went out to eat seafood...yum!!:) My grandmother and dad love oysters...yuck...but seafood places always have hush puppies, crushed ice, and tartar sauce...3 of my favorites...it was DELICIOUS!!:) We had a lot of fun!!:)

We went to the rides Saturday night and Marlee actually had a good time!!:) She rode everything and liked it, except she got scared on the motorcycles (see face) because they went up and down some small hills. Seeing her and Jack ride these motorcycles was really cute!!:)
